Your Lunch Cruise Pre-Arrival Guide
Thank you for choosing Sea World Cruises! Our team looks forward to welcoming you onboard for your lunch cruise. Here’s everything you need to know to make the most of your day with us.
Before You Arrive
Our lunch cruise departs from the jetty at Appel Park, Surfers Paradise.
Please wait at the top of the jetty for a crew member to collect you. Please do not block the jetty access as it is a public jetty.
Address: 10 Ferny Ave, Surfers Paradise, QLD, 4217
We recommend arriving at least 20 minutes before your scheduled cruise.
This allows plenty of time to get you settled onboard, as the boat will depart promptly at the scheduled time.
Paid parking is available at Bruce Bishop Car Park, Circle on Cavill, or Cypress Avenue Carpark (suitable for tall vehicles). Please allow extra time to walk from the car park to the departure location.
There are plenty of public transport options to Appel Park, Surfers Paradise, including:
Bus – Appel Park is a key hub for Surfside Buses (Translink).
Tram – The G-Link tram runs daily to Cavill Avenue (5 min walk).
Uber – search for “Appel Park”.
Taxi – call 13 CABS on (+61 7) 5588 1234 to book a ride.
Lunch cruises operate rain or shine aboard the Spirit of Elston, which features both indoor and outdoor seating. If rain is forecast and you’ve booked outdoor seating, our reservations team will contact you to offer one of the following options (subject to availability):
- Move your seating indoors
- Reschedule to another day
- Receive a full refund
Please note, our skippers will only operate the vessel if it is safe to do so. Your comfort and safety are our top priorities.
We accept all card payments however we do not accept cash.
Our lunch cruises take place on the calm waters of the Gold Coast canals and Broadwater, making seasickness extremely unlikely. The Spirit of Elston is a purpose-built dining vessel, designed specifically for the local marine environment. Its stability and comfort ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all guests.
As part of our commitment towards marine conservation, a portion of every Lunch Cruise ticket goes towards the Sea World Foundation.
The Sea World Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to understanding, protecting, and conserving the marine environment for future generations. Through research, rescue, and conservation efforts, the foundation supports independent marine research projects, helping to expand our knowledge and appreciation of the ocean’s incredible biodiversity.
By promoting conservation and education, the foundation raises public awareness of critical marine issues and enhances scientific understanding of how we can better preserve the marine environment.
