Premium viewing across all three decks, with spacious walk-around decks on each level so guests can move, spread out and find their own spot — rail-side for the view, in the shade, or right in the middle of it all. Fully licensed bar onboard, never more than a few steps away. With 160 guests aboard, there’s always another deck to land on.
VIP Captain’s Lounge
A private space for fifteen, tucked within the larger vessel — close enough to stay part of the event, separate enough to feel like its own room. Useful for a head table, a client group, speakers gathering themselves before they’re called on, or anyone who needs a quieter corner for ten minutes.

In the warmer months, Spirit of Migaloo II becomes the simplest way to get a big corporate group out on the water. Cruise across to South Stradbroke, drop anchor off Wavebreak Island, or run up to Sanctuary Cove and back. A full day’s private charter with the vessel exclusively yours. Fully catered private charters start at just 80 guests.
Just want the boat for a transfer? Hire only starts at $4,500 for three hours — vessel, skipper and crew, no catering or bar. Add our in-house catering and licensed bar whenever it suits. For private boat hire on the Gold Coast at this scale, nothing else in our fleet carries as many.
Private Whale Watching Charters
From May to November, the humpbacks pass the Gold Coast on their annual migration, and Spirit of Migaloo II is the vessel built to meet them. As our largest whale watching vessel, she spends the season doing exactly what she was made for, with three levels of premium viewing and spacious walk-around decks so every guest gets a rail-side spot.
For a private whale watching charter on the Gold Coast, she’s yours exclusively. Private chartersare available with a minimum of 100 guests (minimum of 130 for peak school holidays). Catering options start from $20 per person for grazing boards. Bring your group, we’ll organise the catering, and let the whales do the rest.

A 160-guest charter vessel working both the Brisbane River and the Gold Coast seaway, built for evening cruising in the city or a full day's exclusive run to Moreton Island or Stradbroke Island.
Hopo I & II
Up to 50 guests per ferry. Book one, or run both side by side for a group of 100. The deck is covered for year round use, with seating for 50. There are no bathrooms onboard, however there are at each available stop. Ideal for shorter events, or for pre-dinner drinks onroute to the final destination.
Kaiala
Our smaller, more intimate vessel — two levels of Broadwater views, a licensed bar and a kiosk aboard. In the warmer months she'll run your group up to Tipplers or Sanctuary Cove; come winter, she's made for sunset drinks on the Broadwater.
Sunset Deck
Almost thirteen metres of west-facing waterfront at Main Beach — the best vantage point on the Broadwater for a sunset, and our only venue on dry land. Your exclusively with a Dinner Cruise charter, or reserve an area for your guests when your boat comes back to moor. Minimum spends apply for exclusive use.
Arro Jet + Sunset Deck Combo
The team day that doesn't need a function room. Half an hour of thrills out on the water, then burgers and beers (or nuggets + chips) at your reserved table on the deck. Up to 50 across two boats.

How much does it cost to charter Spirit of Migaloo II?
Chartering the vessel for a private event or cruise is $1,500/hour with a 3 hour minimum for the boat, skipper and required crew. Catering is available on a per head basis, starting at $20 per person for morning or afternoon tea, or grazing boards. A cash bar is available, or hourly bevereage packages can be arranged. Where can we go?
In the warmer months she runs day charters across to South Stradbroke, out to Wavebreak Island, or up the canals to Sanctuary Cove and back. During whale season she’s out spotting humpbacks by day so is available after 6pm.
Can we charter her during whale season May-Nov?
Yes, provided enough notice is provided and subject to application.
Is there a bar onboard?
Yes, a fully licensed bar. You can run a bar tab, choose a drinks package, or let guests pay their own way at the cash bar. BYO is not permitted.
Can we bring our own food?
No. All catering is prepared by our own chefs at the Sea World Cruises terminal kitchen.
What happens if it rains?
Two decks are enclosed and climate controlled, so the vessel can still operate in wet weather subject to guest numbers. In the rare event of extreme weather, our team will contact you to reschedule to another available date.
Is there AV for speeches and presentations?
Yes, this is available and can be heard across all 3 decks.
Are prices inclusive of GST?
All prices shown include GST.
What deposit is required, and when is the balance due?
A deposit of 50% confirms your date, with the balance and final guest numbers due 14 days before departure.
How far in advance should we book?
December, and Friday and Saturday evenings year-round, book out furthest ahead. We’d recommend 4–6 months for those and 2–3 weeks for weekday charters.
Can we see the vessel before booking?
Yes — inspections can be arranged. Contact our team at info@seaworldcruises.com.au and we’ll organise a time.
Can you accommodate events for over 200 or 300 guests?
Not on one vessel. But you may charter multiple vessels to accommodate all of your guests. Book Migaloo II with Kaiala, and Mulgumpin for events over 350 guests.
